Another weekend has almost passed
and all we are wondering
is whether Father's Day will be the day
that Justin becomes a father.

In Texas, there are trees
eight or nine feet tall
that look like enormous flowers.
Everywhere.
It's beautiful.

Wouldn't it be great if Tilly came today?! I just love those beautiful crape myrtle trees (I think that's what's in your picture). My grandmother has a giant one in Irving, TX. You can pick the buds off the tree and squish them from the stem up, and the flower will burst out! I'm thinking about planting some crape myrtles in our very empty backyard in GA (our counteroffer was accepted!)
