{on the needles: patchwork cushion}

Cool sea blues, lime-in-a-Corona greens, whipped-cream whites.

Perhaps there is such a thing as summer knitting.

I'm always sweltering under summer knitting. And I have also been pondering all my scraps of wool and wondering if a blanket just like your cushion is just the thing. 'Tis very chilly around here, after all...

This is cute! Lately I've been wanting to knit a patchwork blanket but fear sewing the blocks together would look bad...did you knit this all together or sew the seams? It looks really good! :)

Kathryn, it's both -- each row is knitted up together, simply changing colours every 22 rows. But then the rows are sewn to each other at the seams -- which was mostly invisible. Very easy and rewarding -- go for it!

What gorgeous colours.

When I, one day, learn to knit, this is the type of thing I would love to do. Simple but very effective:)
